Out of the box

Moon changes place
Daily shrink to a fragment of itself
Hidden shadows mood shift
Dark to light.
Lessons not written
No textbook words
Just emotion and memory
Marking yesterday
In a small corner
Of the mind.
To learn through life
Love coming and going
Living in saying
With no rhythm
Nor rhyme,
Music to mark the time we lived in this space,
Now wide open
No boundaries to mark
Where it all once did reside.
I walk the path searching for trinkets,
A souvenir of yesteryear
Like a broken arrowhead
Buried below the ground
Underneath my steps,
There, somewhere,
Just unseen.
The passions of our years
Mellow into a warm glow
And radiates a heat
When needed,
Underlying emotion
Needs no name,
And beats softly
Like a tired heart
That sleeps deep,
That knows the truth
Learned from each piece broken
And repaired,
It sleeps like a child,
Filled with a sweet dream
In darkness.

I am a sometimes poet on a quest to master the universe of my mind. My writing runs the gamut of nature, off beat, life and basically the world as I see it through the windows of my eyes. Welcome to my blog. Sit a spell in your big comfy armchair or favorite spot and read for a while if it suits and don't forget to leave a comment to let me know who you are and all that jazz. Looking forward to what each day brings and catch you on the flip side of the stars. Peace and blessings.
