Love floating

I saw it in the distance
Bobbing on the breeze
And silently floating down
Strings caught in the grasses
Attached a message
Filled with love yet heartbreak,
Intended for another perhaps
But at my feet I could not let it be lost
To never be seen.
It told of a hard life,
Of pain and sadness
And only asked for peace and love
To rain down on their meager life,
The childish scrawl
Touching a stranger’s heart.
I do not know who sent it,
But made it a point there after
To try to live my life
Treating others with kindness,
To give love to those whose eyes
Spoke of sadness.
I send these balloons
Settling in a vibrant sun,
Floating along,
Reach out and take all you need,
They are for you
I give these to,
Messages floating
Into the universe,
To be found perhaps by accident,
So if you don’t need it,
Just blow it back up
And send it along,
I won’t mind at all
Because I have a hundred more
Waiting to have the breath of joy
Inflating them
To take their place on the wind,
To find someone.

I am a sometimes poet on a quest to master the universe of my mind. My writing runs the gamut of nature, off beat, life and basically the world as I see it through the windows of my eyes. Welcome to my blog. Sit a spell in your big comfy armchair or favorite spot and read for a while if it suits and don't forget to leave a comment to let me know who you are and all that jazz. Looking forward to what each day brings and catch you on the flip side of the stars. Peace and blessings.
