Skies alive

The simple stars sing to me
like tiny chimes on high
and I listen in wonder
celestial tunes of bliss.
The colors of the skies
live behind my eyes
as I bask in awe
and indescribable amazement.
The words of the forest speak
in hushed tones of twigs
in thunder of falling branches
I stop to heed their call.
The taste of the winds
so sweet in the saltiness
of a wave crashing down
upon my soul as I stand within her.
The touch of the moon reaches me
in nights of slumber and peace
a sliver of light comes to peer upon
the innocence of dreams.
The universe surrounds me
holding me in the energy
comforting me in joy
pulling me towards
another amazing moment of this life.

I am a sometimes poet on a quest to master the universe of my mind. My writing runs the gamut of nature, off beat, life and basically the world as I see it through the windows of my eyes. Welcome to my blog. Sit a spell in your big comfy armchair or favorite spot and read for a while if it suits and don't forget to leave a comment to let me know who you are and all that jazz. Looking forward to what each day brings and catch you on the flip side of the stars. Peace and blessings.

  1. You write so wonderfully your readers enjoy bursts of imagery like star bursts throughout your fine poem. You are quite a poet, your poems have a way of spending time in your readers’ thoughts where memories of your poems can be enjoyed long after your poems are read.

    1. Thanks Georgia Kevin, those words just made me smile so big. I think we often wonder if what we write is thought of after the initial read. It’s nice to know they stay with you after the fact. Means it’s not all for naught☺️ I thank you. Peace and blessings my friend.
